Body Refiners offers traditional hair restorative services as well as exciting new alternative procedures for males and females. We use the most advanced technology in hair restoration.
Body Refiners use two hair restorative methods:
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)
A very small amount of hair is removed from the natural donor area (area which hair is extracted from – at the back of the head) from groupings called follicular units. Under microscopic magnification, grafts are created that keep these natural groupings intact. The grafts are then placed in tiny micro incisions in the bald area, created in a pattern and distribution that mimic nature.
A benefit of this method allows an increase in the volume of hair to be transplanted. However, a downside to this method is that a small scar could result from the procedure. But this can be corrected through the use of (Hair Micro-Pigmentation Treatment) HPT® at a later stage.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
Donor tissue is extracted from a broad area of the back of the scalp. A circular incision is made in the skin around the upper part of the follicle, which is then extracted (pulled) directly from the scalp leaving a small open hole. The advantage of FUE is that it leaves no linear scar. However, there is a decrease in the volume of hair than can be transplanted, due to the limited donor area. Although in most cases there is sufficient donor area to restore the area/areas desired.

To create a thickened, visual enhancement of the restored hair, clients will be offered a complementary HPT® treatment at a later date. Furthermore, clients will be advised at how to minimise hair loss to reduce the likelihood for the need of future treatments.
